Call for proposal – no 2, 2018

The Swedish Energy Agency welcomes applicants for the second call of the research and innovation program Design for energy efficient daily life. The announcement covers approximately SEK 20 million and closes on January 16, 2018.

Applications in English are welcome, but it is mandatory to include an abstract in Swedish. Applications are to be submitted via the Agency’s online system e-kanalen before the deadline. Please note that it may take a while for your e-kanalen account to be active, so it is advised that you create an account in good time to not miss the deadline.

Focus of call

Call for proposal no 2, 2018, focuses on the area Technology and Innovation for Resource Efficiency. The call welcomes proposals that combine energy research and development with design and behavior science to develop new business models, technology, products or services. For this call projects close to market launch are particularly welcome.

Funding can be given to research, development, innovation and demonstration projects, as well as activities aimed at commercialization, internationalization and increased utilization.

Who may apply

The announcement is aimed at all actors who can contribute with proposals within the focus of the call. For example:

  • Companies and design agencies
  • Public sector
  • Universities within the disciplines design, social science, humanities, technical and natural science
  • Institutions related to the area
  • Other actors related to the area

Projects where different types of national and international actors (companies, academia and research institutes) work together is seen as positive. Equality and diversity should be taken into account in the composition of the project group, in the content of the project, during the implementation of the project and in its objectives and effects.
